I remember coming home from work one day and my wife telling me about HitchFit and how great our photographer Brandi looked after going there. She was very excited about looking into it. We ended up deciding to go through the process together and could not have been more pleased.
I have always concerned myself in fairly good shape. I have been lifting weights for over 15 years and played collegiate football. But I never expected to get the results that I did after only 12 weeks with James as our trainer.
The hardest part for me was the diet, as I had always eaten pretty much whatever I wanted. I always knew that I needed to eat healthier but this process helped to emphasize the importance of a clean diet. Through the extensive cardio workouts I was able to take over 20 minutes of my fastest triathlon time and look to improve that even more for next year.
Whereas James helped with the cardio and diet, I feel that without the support of my wife none of this would have been possible. I could not imagine going through this process without her. Thank you Kristina for all of your support. I’m looking forward to our new lifestyle together and being better role models for our son as he grows up.
I hope that my sacrifice, discipline, and results can be a motivation for others. Do not let whether other people think you need to improve yourself or not affect your decision. It has to be something that you want to do for yourself. There will be "friends" who question your motives and tell you that you don’t need to be sacrificing so much. Real friends will be happy for you and help keep you motivated. There were several people that told us we didn’t need to be going to a place like HitchFit. We did not let that discourage us or bring us down. We just continued on the plan that James had set in place for us and think the results speak for themselves. If you are contemplating going to HitchFit, I would strongly recommend it. You will be amazed with your results and how your life will be transformed.

After wrapping up my son’s two year pictures in June of this year, I asked our photographer Brandi what she had been doing to get is such great shape. It had been a year since I had seen her and the difference was amazing. She immediately got online and showed me Hitch Fit’s website. Seeing her before and after pictures had me calling Hitch Fit the next day.
I had been searching for "something" for a long time to help me get to where I felt completely comfortable with my body. After the birth of our son, I luckily lost the "baby weight" pretty easily, but I just wasn’t feeling good about myself. Things definitely did not look the same! I also had become overly critical of myself and had a very poor body image. Most days I would weigh myself and the number I saw would determine my happiness for the day. It was a mind and body trap I wanted to get out of and the only way was to change myself.
As I got connected with James, my husband expressed his interest in joining along with me. As our workouts started, I really didn’t know if I was going to make it! I hadn’t worked out in years. Doing some light cardio here and there was about all I made time for with a toddler running around the house. James quickly showed me that I could do a lot more than some light cardio. I went from walking the neighborhood to running, something I never imagined I could do! James knew how to push me to reach a fitness level that I have never attained.
The diet plan was straight forward and easy to follow. The hardest part for me was eating everything I was supposed to eat. I was the girl who skipped meals because I thought it would help me stay "skinny." I had no idea the damage I could do to my metabolism by not eating throughout the day. I also had no idea that amount of protein that I should be eating. James showed me the error of my ways. Now I make sure to feed my body every three hours because I want it to burn body fat not store it!
I have learned so much from James; he has taught me how to eat clean, lift weights properly, and how to persevere. There were many days I cried while running on the treadmill because the side stitches I was experiencing made me want to stop. I didn’t; with time they went away and I increased the miles I could run. Now I am looking forward to a new challenge of running my first race, a 10K in November! I still want to lose a few more percentages of fat, but I have no doubt I can do it with the knowledge James at Hitch Fit has given me!
