Earlier this year I decided that I was tired of feeling uncomfortable in my clothes and that it was time to do something about it. I have never considered myself to be overweight, in my mind I more so just thought of myself as “out of shape”. Don’t get me wrong, I have had a gym membership for over 10 years at a popular chain fitness center and worked out somewhat regularly but never with the intensity or direction needed to be successful. Diet was the other piece of the puzzle missing for me. While I have always eaten fairly healthy foods, portion control was non-existent causing the extra pounds to sneak up on me slowly over the years.

Now that I am in my late 30’s, I knew it was time to take action as it was never going to get any easier to get fit. A friend of mine was telling me about the success he had at a small fitness gym in the Union Hill area of KC. I reached out to them and was put in contact with personal trainer, James Hanton. I consider myself to be extremely lucky to have found James on the first go around. James listened to my goals and then covered his program and how he could help me attain those goals. After meeting James and seeing his awesome attitude and attentiveness I signed up for a 12 week program. James quickly put together a special diet and workout program to get me on the path to success. My program was a combination of working out with James 2-3x/week as well as 2-3x/week by myself along with following a strict diet. In 12 weeks I have lost 30 lbs and 11% body fat. I couldn’t be happier with James and the results he was instrumental in helping me obtain.
